A new era has begun in the popular corner store at Lower Main Street Letterkenny (formally known as Blacks, Cassidy's, Proctor's, Coyle's), as the Kernan Group took the reigns of the retail outlet on Friday past.
Chief Operations Manager Damian Daly and Financial Controller Conor Coyle were joined by Kernans Managers Liam O Brien, Pauric McGarvey, Laura McFadden, Edel Frize and Director Brid Kernan to meet and greet the new team at lower Main Street before trading began.

The Kernan family have been involved in retailing since the 1920's and pride themselves on a customer focused approach, providing a fast, convenient service and above all, a friendly, welcoming service.

Some of the existing services in the store include a Hot & Cold food Deli, a Full Off-licence, Lotto, ATM and Seattles Best Coffee and Kernans have plans to add to the offerings and enhance others.
The existing workforce will remain to benefit from the improvements and new offerings that the Kernan Group expect to bring over the next few months.

Kernans Lower Main Street becomes the 6th store operated by the Kernan Group, joining Kernans Eurospar & Diner Newtowncunningham , Kernans Spar Ramelton, Kernans Spar Supermarket Ballyshannon, Kernans XL & Diner Drumkeen and Kernans Spar Tullygay Newmills. "As opportunities have come my way I took on more retail outlets.
I've built up a core team over the years, Damian Daly, who looks after the day to day running, and Caroline Devenney (Office Administrator) who has been here since 1990. It's with their dedication and the valued contribution from many others that has allowed us to continue to develop".
